Project Johanna
The scope of this project involved the design of a brand-new unfinished basement and a backyard in the following year. Intended as a multi-functional space, this basement provides the family with a bedroom, bathroom, home office, home gym, and a recreational area with a built-in kitchenette for entertaining.
The backyard includes a two-level deck for accessibility of a barbecue station in the colder months and a space for gathering down below. Including a semi-private roof was important to the clients for shade, lighting, and privacy. A platform below the first set of stairs includes direct access to the hot tub.
